This is a Crest compact set in a plastic box. There are 3 items inside - a compact, a smaller one for ?rouge or eye shadow, and a lipstick with mirror.  They are in gilt metal with Perspex reverse carved roses.  See condition report and sizes etc. on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - reference 2511 B117/5 Price £95.

Here's a lovely black sequins and small black beads evening bag - probably from the 1950's.  It was made in France for Kendal Milne & Co (now House of Fraser Manchester) - which was possibly the world's first department store.  It has a satin lining with the name inside.  Please see all 4 pictures on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - together with measurements etc.  Reference 2496 B114/8 - price £78.

This is a lovely Austrian brooch with large lapis glass stones and smaller blue glass stones.  It is in two parts.  The top part has a round lapis glass stones and the larger bottom part has a pear shaped lapis glass stones.  See full details on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - reference 2493 B117/25.  I love Austrian glass stones brooches and always stock them when I can find them - the quality is always so good!

Here's a Jakob Bengel white metal bracelet with pink glass pieces.  I have written a comprehensive description of this Bengel bracelet on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com.  There is a lot is misinformation about Bengel and pieces described as Bengel that just are not.  This bracelet is Bengel - but as I explain the enamel paint could have been added later.  Please also read my blog under 'Manufacturers' on my web site.  This bracelet has not been used, is ex factory stock and measures 7 1/2 inches approx.  It is priced at £125, reference 2486 B101/33.  A great example of Jakob Bengel's work

This is really unusual - a Lea Stein brooch in the shape of a matchstick!  I have never had this before!  It is obviously one of the older ones.  It does not have the usual v-shaped pin because it would not fit on.  The pin says 'Lea Stein'.  Full details on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - ref: 2485 B73/33 Price £68.

MELODY 1950'S VINYL RECORD POWDER COMPACT - J.D.CREATIONS

This compact is quite rare - it is a 1950's French compact depicting a vinyl record.  It is marked Melody and J.D.Creations.  It may have been made with 4 different colour labels - this one is blue and I have seen a picture of a red one.  Possibly there were green and cream ones.  Information is hard to get!  See full description on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - together with more pictures.  Reference 2478 B113/1 Price £220.

GROSSE 1958 GILT BRACELET WITH CHAINS

Grosse Modernist Gilt Bracelet 1967

Have fallen in love with this 1967 gold tone bracelet made by Grosse.  Henkel and Gross is a high quality manufacturer who also made for Dior at that time.  This stunning bracelet is made up of 7 links.  Each is part shiny and part patterned.  It has a secure clasp and a safety catch.  It is very well made and in good condition.  It is marked on the back of the clasp - Grosse Germany 1967.  See images on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - price £145 ref: 2460 B108/30. Wonderful vintage egyptian revival Kenneth J Lane necklace.  The necklace has a striking large boat shaped central pendant with figures and lotus flowers.  It imeasures 3 ins x 2.5 ins.  The Kenneth Lane trademark dates from the 1980s and the necklace is in excellent vintage condition.  Priced at £125 for further information please contact MGN Collectables at info@vintagemodes.co.uk

Beautiful gold tone earrings with three sections inset with large facetted rhinestones and centre pearl, from which is suspened a long teardrop shaped pearl. They measure 3.75 ins x 1 in long.
